Steve Bachmann, AB (Harvard), MFA (UNO), JD (Harvard), has represented many organizations working for social change as an attorney. He is also co-founder of The New Orleans Art Review. He is widely read by lawyers, artists and social activists nationwide.

LAWYERS, LAW AND SOCIAL CHANGE has recently been updated and expanded, to include Bachmann's keynote address to the NYU Review of Law and Social Change on the occasion of its 40th anniversary, plus a 60-page update that appeared in NYURLSC, Volume 34, Number 3 (2010). It is a co-publication of Harvardwood and Unlimited Publishing LLC.

His other books include U.S. CONSTITUTION FOR BEGINNERS (Writers and Readers Press, 1987), illustrated by Pulitzer prize winner Joel Pett; PREACH LIBERTY (Four Walls Eight Windows, 1990); NONPROFIT LITIGATION (John Wiley and Sons, 1992); and two books of art criticism, titled SIMULATING SEX: AESTHETIC REPRESENTATIONS OF EROTIC ACTIVITY (2002) and BEYOND NOLA: NEW ORLEANS REVIEWS OF ART (with Terrington Calas, 2002), both published by UP in conjunction with The New Orleans Art Review. More recently, Bachmann has completed a number of penetrating, irreverent works of literary criticism: EXTREME PROUST (2008), followed by UNBECOMING JANE (2009) and THE HARVARDWOOD INTRODUCTION TO PROUST (2013), all co-published by Unlimited Publishing LLC and Harvardwood Books.
