Levitt Clinton Beck, Jr. was born in 1920 in Texas and moved to California after the death of his older brother. He later became a fighter pilot during WWII and was shot down over France. He was rescued, and hid from the Germans throughout the summer of 1944 until he was eventually betrayed. He finally ended up at the Buchenwald Concentration Camp where he died later that year. This is his story.
